At Martial Art Concepts we know Western Boxing is a fantastic way to develop the entire body’s mechanics to deliver extremely powerful strikes and boxers are also renowned for their pace of movement and physical fitness during competition.

This makes boxing a great art for developing self protection skills and building superb physical fitness. At Martial Art Concepts we teach Tommy Thompson’s Olympic Boxing and as core training within this art you will train:

  • Footwork, stance and movement.
  • Defending and attacking with punches kicks, knees and elbows.
  • How to punch singularly and in combination and clinch in a safe, controlled environment.
  • Working with a partner to develop your timing, coordination, distance and other 'tools'.
  • Great workouts that develop your speed, fitness, flexibility and strength.
